SCOTIA XC provides these names as a service to members. You should be a club-member to participate in private lessons on club-groomed trails. The club is not responsible for any activities related to private lessons. Payment arrangements are made directly with the coach.
Here is a list of instructors, their credentials and details about the lessons.
Name: Kat Kitching
Level of Instruction: Beginner to Advanced, kids and adults
Experience: Kat has 19 years experience teaching classic and skate-skiing, from beginner to advanced, and is a longtime active member of the Canadian Association for Nordic Ski Instructors (CANSI).
Availability: For winter 2026, Kat is teaching in Ontario from mid-January to early February. She’s available before and after that for lessons in Halifax.
While she’s away, she’s happy to answer XC questions from afar – don’t be shy to get in touch.
Fees: A single 75-minute lesson for 1-2 people usually costs between $55 and $90 depending on lesson location.
SCOTIA XC members receive a $5 discount on their lesson.

Classic equipment available for lending in almost all sizes. Some skate equipment available too.
